Business Resources & Links from around the web
Recipe for success
Well, you've hired a webmaster, built a website and are waiting for the
sales to come in, right? We all chew our nails and wonder what happens if
this doesn't work? Or worse, what if it DOES?
One of the things I try to teach my clients is to not be afraid of success.
More sales will mean maybe a bigger facility, more employees, more spending,
more more more. But isn't that kinda the point?? Stop trying to kill your
business before it even gets off the ground. Think big - but act small. Being
from New York, I kinda idolize Donald Trump, as he took himself to fame and
fortune, then to bankruptcy, then back to fortune. Trump taught me a few
things of importance that applies to any type of business; never give up,
never stop trying, and never shoot for anything less than greatness. If you
fall short, at least you'll be able to pay your bills.
If you do succeed, take a breath, don't be overwhelmed and take things
one step at a time. Go to the bookstore and buy a copy of Michael Gerber's
'The E-Myth' and read it. Stop telling yourself and others you don't have
time to do little things like this and just do it. You will find that many
of the mistakes and fears that stop you from succeeding are not patented
by you; we all make them and have them, so learn from them and go get what
you want!
That being said, I have scoured the web for links and resources that may
be of use to you. Check out some of the links below and good luck in your
business endeavors!
